Action Requested: Department Testers for Oracle Redwood and Labviva

By Asirra Suguitan, Associate Vice Chancellor and Campus Controller |

Dear CFAOs,

We are asking each area to recommend 5–6 department testers to support upcoming user acceptance testing (UAT) for Oracle Redwood and Labviva. These will be two separate UAT efforts. Individuals may participate in one or both, depending on their experience and interest.

Please send your recommendations to Andrea Barwinski (andreamc@ucr.edu) by Friday, October 9, 2026, and indicate whether each individual is being recommended for Redwood, Labviva, or both.

Testers should be current department buyers and/or supplier requesters who can help validate functionality and provide feedback before implementation.

Upcoming Changes & Timeline

Oracle Redwood: Purchasing and Supplier Management—including purchase orders, purchase agreements, supplier management, internal supplier registration, and the Supplier Portal—will transition to Oracle’s Redwood interface.

  • January 19, 2027: Anticipated soft launch, with Redwood and Classic available concurrently for most functionality.
  • February 15, 2027: Full Redwood transition; Classic retired and Supplier Portal available.

Labviva: UCR will implement Labviva to provide an enhanced punchout catalog purchasing experience.

  • January 2027: Supplier testing expected to begin
  • February 28, 2027: Target soft launch
  • April 5, 2027: Target campuswide launch

At the September 30 User Group meeting, we will invite department users interested in testing Redwood, Labviva, or both to contact their respective CFAO.

Thank you for helping us identify users who can support testing and a smooth transition. Please reach out with any questions.

Thank you,
