Reminder: SAA Responsibilities for Financial System Access
This is a reminder of your key responsibilities in managing financial system access, especially in light of a recent increase in support tickets from users who have not completed required training.
Many of the issues raised in these tickets are already covered in the finance training materials. In several cases, access was granted before users completed a learning path. To help prevent these issues, please ensure training completion is verified before granting access.
As a reminder, SAAs are responsible for:
- Assigning access through EACS in R’Space only after verifying that users have completed the appropriate finance training learning path based on their departmental responsibilities.
- De-provisioning access (removing roles) for users who no longer need them or have separated from the department.
- Submitting requests to add or modify roles managed by the Central Office Application SAA by emailing saaupdate@ucr.edu.
The web-based training materials are being continuously updated to reflect current system functionality. For those who have not completed training since the financial systems went live in 2023, retaking courses is strongly encouraged—even if not a new hire.
