• Noon: Fly America v. Open Skies - Using a Federal grant for travel? Trying to understand the many nuances of funding lingo? Our special guest, Jeff Pennington from UC Berkeley's Institute of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, will provide a basic breakdown on this complicated topic.

February 23rd

• 1130AM: UC's Preferred Agencies and Booking Options - What does it mean to "book with Connexxus"? Who are the UC agencies and what do you get with them that is not available with public sites or non-UC agencies? Should you book online or call/email an agent?

• 1130AM: Airfare Price Protection - Price reduced after purchase, now what? Rapid price changes in airfare can be challenging to monitor. We will point out some options available once purchase is complete and highlight important considerations to keep in mind.
• Noon: Fees, fees, fees: Why? Agency v. Airline - Who charges what and why will be clarified along with some UC specific exceptions and allowances.

• Noon: Booking UC Rates outside Connexxus - Discover an independent method of booking travel outside Connexxus, while still easily receiving UC rates and benefits (using Short's Travel and their propriety online tool, called FindIt).

March 23rd

• 1130AM: Understanding Airfare Inventory/Pricing - Demystify long-standing Connexxus myth that airfare is more expensive and flight options are hidden within the program. Discover how airlines achieve maximum sales by managing every seat on every flight through a single distribution system.
• Noon: Basic Economy tickets: What are they/Why the focus? - How do you make sure that the airfare you choose is right for you, your traveler, and your budget? Recognize types of economy fares and explore other special fares exclusive to UC.
