Based on feedback from users, the accelerated schedule for PIWRS reports and Payroll Certifications has been revised. The revised schedule will allow PIWRS Coordinators additional time to review the information before the reports and certifications are distributed to PIs. The updated schedule provided below identified the revised dates in red.

Please note projections are not yet incorporated in PIWRS. Efforts to finalize projections are in progress with the goal of deploying projections in the March reports.

With the transition to the UCPath environment and retirement of the Enterprise Reporting System (ERS), enhancements to the Principal Investigator Web Reporting System (PIWRS) were necessary. The goal of these enhancements is to provide department analysts the flexibility to define FAUs to generate PI-specific reports across funding sources for financial management and oversight purposes. The new version of PIWRS is now deployed, and the December reports are available to PIWRS Coordinators; please note the automated salary projections feature will be deployed with an upcoming reporting period.

Attached is the user guide on the enhanced PIWRS. Depending upon how your department intends to use the department defined reporting feature, report recipient roles may need to be established in the Enterprise Access Control System (EACS) by your department Systems Access Administrator (SAA). A demonstration of the PIWRS was conducted on 3/12/18 and the presentation is posted to the Accounting Office website: emf-20180312-piwrs-demo.pdf.

Due to the time required to remediate PIWRS with the deployment of UCPath, the campus is behind schedule in issuing the monthly PIWRS reports and annual Payroll Certifications. In order to catch up on the campus reporting and compliance activities, the review and issuance of the monthly reports and annual certifications must be accelerated for the December, January, February, and March; please see the schedule timelines below.
