Effective April 15, 2019, the California Attorney General added South Carolina to the list of prohibited states.  The following states are currently subject to California’s ban on state-funded and state-sponsored travel:

  1. Alabama
  2. Kansas
  3. Kentucky
  4. Mississippi
  5. North Carolina
  6. Oklahoma
  7. South Carolina
  8. South Dakota
  9. Tennessee
  10. Texas

Please ensure travelers in your department are aware of these restrictions.   The updated UC FAQ is attached for your reference.  Additional information on Assembly Bill 1887 can be located on the following websites:  https://oag.ca.gov/ab1887 and https://oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases/attorney-general-becerra-california-will-restrict-state-funded-and-state-0

The business rules in iTravel are being updated to reflect this new restriction.  Questions can be directed to travelfeedback@ucr.edu
