Riverside, Ca –
In our efforts to improve campus efficiencies, the Accounting Office and Computing & Communications are pleased to announce the campus-wide deployment of the “TARS-PPS Comparison” (TPC) report. The TPC report will assist in the management of timesheet processing by providing Department Time & Attendance Administrators (DTAA) a report on the status of timesheet submissions. The TPC report will be deployed campus-wide this week and will be available under the DTAA’s and Inquirer’s menu options. In addition, a user guide is available directly within the TPC report as well as the TARS support site (http://cnc.ucr.edu/tars/ ); the TPC Guide explains the various statuses and the actions required to resolve potential issues.

The TPC report tags each timesheet/distribution line with a status based on the time report’s stage in the timesheet submission process. The TPC report can be sorted and filtered online. There is also an export feature to Excel and PDF file formats.

Since the DTAA role is critical for ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees as well as accounting for leave time, this report will provide DTAAs an advanced preview of timesheet statuses in order to aid in capturing discrepancies early on in the time reporting process to prevent untimely payments and/or omissions. DTAAs are encouraged to review and incorporate this TPC report into their unit’s TARS procedures and processes.
