Riverside, Ca –

The November 2013 Biweekly (B2) Payroll processing cut-offs, for the time reporting period 11/10/13-11/23/13, have been modified due to the Thanksgiving holidays. The early cut-off dates are outlined below and must be followed in order to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time:

  • 11/21/13 (Thu) – 7:00 a.m.: PPS Biweekly Roster opens (please note this date is earlier than normal, due to the early Roster cut-off date)
  • 11/21/13 (Thu) – 11:30 p.m.: Reminder for employee to submit timesheet to their supervisor will be distributed
  • 11/24/13 (Sun) – 11:30 p. m.: Time & Attendance Reporting System (TARS) time reports that have not been submitted by employees to their supervisors will automatically be route to the supervisor
  • 11/25/13 (Mon) – 11:30 p.m.: TARS timesheet not approved by Supervisor will automatically route to the Departmental Time and Attendance Administrators (DTAA)
  • 11/26/13 (Tue) – 7:00 p.m.: PPS Roster closes. DTAA must submit timesheets from TARS to PPS before this cutoff. DTAAs should always review the Roster after the timesheet submission to ensure hours reported on TARS are transmitted accurately to the PPS Roster.

Please note:

  • Please encourage your department’s biweekly employees to submit the 11/9/13-11/22/13 biweekly time report to their supervisors before 11/24/13.
  • Please encourage supervisors to approve the 11/9/13-11/22/13 biweekly time reports by 11/25/13.
  • Time reports that have been auto-submitted to supervisors and/or DTAAs will generate a negative confirmation notice; best practice is to positively confirm time.
  • As soon as the PPS Biweekly Roster opens on 11/21/13, DTAAs may begin submitting completed and approved TARS timesheets to PPS roster. PPS Transactors can also begin entering hours worked and/or leave taken directly to the biweekly roster.
  • Please be sure to communicate expectations to employees and supervisors regarding your department specific cut-offs.
  • TARS biweekly payroll calendar is available at: pcr-tars2013bw-cal.pdf
  • The cutoff dates for the November monthly (MO) payroll are not changing. There will be sufficient time to process the MO roster using the normal cutoff dates.
  • Payroll Calendar is available at: Payroll Calendar
  • Guidance regarding special December payroll cutoff deadlines will be issued separately.

Questions may be directed to timesheetfeedback@ucr.edu. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in meeting these payroll deadlines.
