As announced in previous communications, all UC campuses are converting non-exempt employees (hourly and salaried), as well as readers and tutors, to bi-weekly payroll cycles. At UCR, the bi-weekly pay conversion cycle began on January 20, 2013, for those impacted by this transition.

If you are a non-exempt employee or a reader or tutor, please review the important reminders listed below.

Reporting your time:

  • Please remember beginning with the first bi-weekly pay period (January 20 – February 2) all non-exempt bi-weekly paid employees must positively report their time (which includes BOTH hours worked and leave hours).

Your February 1, 2013, paycheck:

  • For exception-paid employees (those who have historically ONLY reported leave hours), the February 1 paycheck will cover the period from January 1, 2013 through January 19, 2013. Career and some limited non-exempt staff employees fall within this category.
  • For positive-paid employees (those who have historically reported BOTH hours worked and leave hours), the February 1 paycheck will cover the period from December 16, 2012 through January 19, 2013. Student assistants (Title Codes 4000, 4329, 4921, 4922) and some limited staff non-exempt employees fall within this category.
  • For eligible employees who requested transition assistance, the requested funds will be included in the February 1 paycheck.

Please review the bi-weekly website at http://ucpath.ucr.edu/biweekly/, particularly the FAQ page, for more information about the bi-weekly payroll cycle.

If you have questions or comments about the transition, please submit them via email to biweeklyfeedback@ucr.edu.

Thank you for your support in making this conversion a success.
